Grain Elevator, Kansas

Photo: Grain elevator stands in Greensburg, Kansas
A grain elevator was one of the few buildings still standing after an F5 tornado roared through Greensburg, Kansas. The last recorded F5 in the United States occurred eight years previously, almost to the day, when an immense twister ravaged the Oklahoma City suburbs on May 3, 1999.
